My Work

I create back-of-book indexes for a variety of texts. I also work on indexing daily content using a controlled vocabulary. In addition, I have coursework experience with metadata standards and schemas, controlled vocabularies, and taxonomies.

WARC (World Advertising Research Center)

For WARC, I read daily articles and case studies on marketing and marketing research. I analyze their content and then apply tags using a proprietary taxonomy. I also help with maintaining and defining terms for the taxonomy. Part-time, long term contract since September 2023. KOS (Knowledge Organization Structures/Systems/Services) Project:

Faceted organization with controlled vocabulary pick lists, synonym rings, and taxonomy development: Ohio Capitol of Information (OCOI) Project

Ohio Outdoor Sculpture Internship:

Worked in the content management system, Omeka. Finalized an update to the metadata schema for cataloging the digital records and created documentation for updating current records.
